Thursday, 11/7/19 is the next date for the Planning Board meeting to continue the July 17th public meeting! As always, we need your support.

The Planning Board will continue their July 17th public meeting on the 114 Whitwell Street property to Thursday, 11/7/19 from 7-8 pm in the City Council Chambers at the Old Town Hall at City Hall, 1305 Hancock Street. We need your support; please consider attending and bring a friend.

Fox Rock continues NOT to address the concerns about density and scale that are of utmost importance to our neighbors. In the latest iteration of their plan, Fox Rock has reduced the number of units from 490 to 465 but the bedroom count has increased! In addition, the square footage has also increased and the parking has decreased. Overall, their changes amount to nothing more then a shell game and don’t address neighborhood concerns. Unfortunately, the neighbors have worked for months to engage Fox Rock in a productive dialog but to no avail.

HHNA looks forward to working toward a conclusion - one that satisfies FoxRock’s bottom line while acknowledging the valid concerns continually expressed by neighbors and city councilors alike. In particular, at the July Planning Board meeting 5 City Councilors and dozens of neighbors spoke - all in opposition to the project; in July the Planning Board also received 41 letters in opposition to the project.

HHNA greatly appreciates the effort by those who have attended past Planning Board meetings and again request your attendance at the Thursday, 11/7/19 from 7-8 pm in the City Council Chambers at the Old Town Hall at City Hall, 1305 Hancock Street. We need your support.

If you are unable to attend in person, please consider emailing the Planning Director: jfatseas@quincyma.gov OR send a letter (Planning and Community Development, 1305 Hancock Street). Please be sure to include your name and address with your comments.

Also, contact your Ward Councilor and/or At-Large Councilors with concerns.
